Art City is a safe place for participants of all ages and abilities. Everyone is welcome, free-of-charge.

Drop-in Studio

Monday to Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Art City operates on a drop-in basis, facilitating art workshops in a variety of art media including drawing, painting, screen-printing, sculpture, clay, hip-hop dance, music, video, and more. Free for all ages.

Digital Photography

New! Mondays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A digital photography program in which participants learn how to operate a digital camera, take digital photographs, then manipulate the images on a computer. Free for all ages.

Digital Art

Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Create and curate your own online art gallery. Use Photoshop to create and customize images, Garageband to record your own music, Flash animation, video editing with iMovie, and basic web design. Free for all ages.

Photography

Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A traditional black and white photography program in which participants learn how to use a camera, develop film in our darkroom, and more. Free for all ages.

Adult Pottery (Ages 16 and up)

Tuesdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Kids Pottery (Ages 15 and under)

Thursdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Work with clay to create everything from small, slab built cups and tiles to elaborate sculptures, then beautify your work using our colourful selection of glazes. All work is fired in our electric kiln. Both pottery programs are free of charge.

Off-Site Programming and Special Events

Art City provides arts facilitation for off-site programming and special events for community agencies, organizations, and alternative schools. Programming is available in a wide variety of art media. There is a nominal fee for these workshops.
