Rights of the Child Mural
In September 2000, Art City and guest artist Katharina Stieffenhofer were asked by the City of Winnipeg to co-ordinate a mural project in conjunction with Winnipeg’s International Conference on War-Affected Children. The “Rights of the Child” mural can be seen on the exterior of the Manitoba Theatre for Young People.
Art City Van
In the summer of 2000, Art City participants created an art van in collaboration with Vancouver artists Ken Gerberick and Harvey Chometski. In 2004, Art City purchased a new van that was painted during a workshop with guest artist Chris Pancoe.
Bike Sculpture
In July 2000, Olaf Mooij and Ellen Dijkstra, visiting artists from Rotterdam, Netherlands, led Art City participants in the creation of a bike sculpture. The sculpture is permanently installed on the roof of Art City and serves as our logo.
